Valentines Day is close and love is in the air. I think people over exxagerate the feeling of love. That four letter word is hyped up so much that it's the hype that creates the heartbreak and not the feeling itself.
What is love? Some of you might say I don't know what it is because I haven't fallen in love with anyone yet. But it isn't unchartered territory at all. Everyone has been loved and loved in return. You've always received love since you were a kid. From your mom, from your dad. Your whole family basically. As you grew up, you received it from your best friend if you had one. Each time you gave it back too. So what's different now?
Love, I feel, is like your favourite song. You might have liked it the very moment you heard it, or maybe you grew to like it after some time. But soon you knew it was just perfect. It resonates with the same frequency your mind does, relating to you at various levels. You keep listening to it on repeat. This goes on for days, weeks even. Then maybe you get tired of it. A bit sick of it too. You go listen to other songs. But finally, after a while, you come back to this one. Because it's your favourite. And nothing can beat it.
Its when you like being with a person. When you can't imagine a life without that person. It's when you miss their presence, when you feel like doing stuff just to see them smile. Its when you have so many inside jokes and stories that they can't possibly be kept inside anymore. It's that moment when you want to scream it out to the whole world. When secrets are revealed and created simulataneously. Love is an essence. When every object you see becomes relatable to that one single person, when you see him or her in everything, you know that's it. You can hear them talk through messages, you can feel their smile in a hello.
Love is more than a feeling or emotion. But like other emotions, it's normal too. Love is a way of life. For some people it may be stronger. It is pretty simple actually. Think of yourself emitting radiations. Think of others doing the same. Some of them collide with each other - they're the important ones. Others just pass through without colliding. Those don't matter at all.
People say love makes you crazy. People also say that human beings are selfish. I think those two are closely related. When you love someone, you aren't selfish anymore. You'd do anything for them. Being selfless clashes with nature. And going against nature is what makes you crazy.

I'm laughing at myself now. On one side I called love natural, on the other side I called it against nature. I called it simple a few paragraphs ago and now I'm about to call it as complicated as counting stars in the galaxy is going to get.
Because love, at the end of the day, is present in every conflicting emotion. Naturally, it will be conflicting itself as well! It is there when you're angry, it exists when you are sad. It's present when you're on cloud nine and it's even there when you aren't on a cloud at all.
Wherever there is life, there is love. And wherever you find love, you'll definitely find life.
